The Murrumbidgee Junior Talent Development Program provides a clear and supportive pathway for junior golfers—from those beginning their golfing journey through to juniors competing at club, district and state level.

Jointly supported by Murrumbidgee Country Club and participating families, the program provides coaching and development opportunities across four levels:

• Foundation

• Development

• Performance

• High Performance

​

Program placement considers each junior’s development, attendance, practice habits, competition participation, behaviour and commitment to representing the club.

​

Girls can also enter through the dedicated Girls Foundation pathway before progressing into the other program levels on merit.

Places are limited and applications are assessed against the program guidelines.

Junior Members will be encourage to gain a Golf Australia Handicap and participate in club competitions.

The Club and Bidgee Golf Shop provide opportunities for junior members to compete in local and club junior tournaments.

In 2021, the Bidgee Golf Shop established the Junior Fund to support the development of junior golf at Murrumbidgee Country Club. Today, the fund is fully financed by the club, ensuring continued opportunities for young golfers to improve their skills.

As part of this initiative, financial MCC Junior members are eligible for one half-price, 30-minute private lesson each month.

Private one-on-one coaching is available with any of the Bidgee Golf Shop’s PGA Professionals, providing expert guidance tailored to each junior golfer’s needs.
